Lush required new professional offices with an eclectic feel, and both business and informal areas, to provide the employees with a relaxed but productive atmosphere. The project involved the installation of glass partition offices, meeting rooms, a kitchen and a shower room over 3 floors. This work included a whole range of trades including electrical, mechanical, carpentry, flooring & decoration.
TDS Offices were appointed by Lush to carry out the principal contractor’s role and manage this project. Lush chose the TDS Group as we have a positive track record for delivering office alterations and a good working relationship with the Lush staff. We were also able to react to new ideas as the project developed, without delays to the final delivery date.
As part of the re-fit our in-house joinery team produced a specific shape for the leg of the desks to co-ordinate with the overall design:
We agreed a 6 week project with them which included a detailed programme of works, Health & Safety management, cost control and liaising with both the Lush development team and the office management company. The project was delivered on time and the new offices are now operational and have been a success with the staff. This has led to TDS being appointed to re-fit another office block.
Lush, of course, are an environmentally ethical business who only allow contract companies who are approved to meet their environmental standards. The fit-out took account of the energy / environmental requirements, and achieved significant SKA ratings, by using reclaimed materials and new materials which were sustainably sourced.
TDS always provide the customer with the comfort that the work is carried out professionally within the agreed programme, with an update of any cost variations, to ensure that the customer’s budget is met.
